Ain'tMisbehavinWebAin't Misbehavin'- At the Lake Worth PlayhouseThe outrageously prodigious comic and musical soul of 1930’s Harlem lives on in this rollicking, swinging, finger-snapping revue that is considered one of Broadway’s best. The inimitable Thomas “Fats” Waller rose to international fame during the Golden Age of the Cotton Club, honky tonk dives along Lenox Avenue, rent parties, stride piano players and that jumpin’ new beat, Swing. Although not quite a biography, Ain’t Misbehavin’ evokes the delightful humor and infectious energy of this American original as a versatile cast struts, Ain't_Misbehavin'_6strums and sings the songs he made famous in a career that ranged from uptown clubs to downtown Tin Pan Alley to Hollywood and concert stages in the U.S. and Europe. Tickets may be purchased through the Lake Worth Playhouse Box Office at 561-586-6410 or online at lakeworthplayhouse.org. Location: Lake Worth Playhouse is located at 713 Lake Ave in Downtown Lake Worth. Valet Parking is available for $5. Street and lot parking is also available. Individual Tickets: $26 (mezz) / $30 (orch); Preview Night: $23 (mezz) / $27 (orch); Opening Night: $35; (Opening Night includes pre and post Lake Worth Playhouse-logoshow appetizer and dessert spread catered by Callaro's and complimentary glass of champagne.)-Also, why not try Dinner & Show! Paradiso Ristorante features Traditional & Contemporary Italian; Package is $55 and includes a pre-show three-course dinner (starter, main course, dessert, soda/coffee, tax and gratituity) plus premium seats for the Thursday preview performance; Or Dinner & Show Any Night Packages range from $50 – $65 and includes dinner plus premium seats for any main stage season performance.

Staute of Liberty-New York-imagesMore on the NY theme: Last year the theme was Washington, D.C., because of the (presidential) election and the inauguration; This year with the Super Bowl, the focus is on NY especially with S. Florida's reputation as the 6th borough of NYC considering so many people are here from there! From the vignettes depicting Time Square at the entrance, to the Broadway-themed ice show and the Empire State Building made out of cans, the whole shebang is in a New York state of mind!

                                               PETS

Dog-Shepherd-Husky-thCome and meet them at Tri County Humane Society today! Hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.  Adoptions stop at 4:00 pm.  You must have an approved application in order to interact with adoptable pets, and to adopt.

If you don't have an application, bring your Driver's License and start the process.  If you rent, please bring that portion of your lease that indicates you are allowed to have a pet.  If you have a pet, we need to be able to verify with your vet that your pet is up to date on vaccinations, and spayed or neutered.  If your vet is closed on Sunday's, please bring your veterinary paper work.  Please bring a collar and a leash, or a carrier, OR you can shop in the Bow-Wow/Cat's Meow Boutique!!!  You may bring your dog for a test 'Meet and Greet' with a new potential family member, but your pet may not be brought into the Shelter.  Bring a friend to wait with your pet while you fall in love.

Also, we always need qualified Dog Walkers to help us at events like the Green Markets, DIG On the Avenue and Rocco's Taco's, but we also need people to help at Registration and Information Tables, and at fundraisers like gift wrapping and the Chris Evert Pro Celebrity Tennis Tournament! Even if you only have ONE HOUR, we will make the best use of it, and you'll be helping our animals!

Please come by the Shelter to fill out a Volunteer application, call the Front Desk at 561-482-8110, or email amanda@nulltricountyhumane.org and tell us how you'd like to help!  You do not need health insurance for these volunteer opportunity, but please note, if you will need to be a qualified Dog Walker to take dogs to events.
