March 23-Burt Richards-  "SENIOR IDOL" TO GIVE TO CHARITY- 
Teen advocate, Burt Richards , honored by the Boca Promise for Youth
organization, and recipient of the President George W. Bush award for
Academic excellence, and Carbonell award winning Florida theatre producer,
entertainer, author, director , syndicated theatre and travel critic
will be entering the SENIOR IDOL CONTEST held at the Holy Cross Hospital in Broward County on March 23, 2010 . Now in its 5th year, Mr. Richards, at the age of 80 , thought he might be in the running to show his stuff with a few songs and perhaps win the $1,000 for his charity donation. Senior Richards has been in the entertainment field for over 50 years and he has been active with the Screen Actors Guild as well as the Actors Equity Association. Also a teen advocate, Richards wants to show those students how to go about being discovered.

March 7 to March 14- "The Year of Magical Thinking" -The Women's Theatre Project begins its exciting 2010 season with the Southeastern premiere, THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING, a powerful and moving play by Joan Didion, starring Angie Radosh and directed by Genie Croft.

THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING marks TWTP's 21st main stage production, previewing Thursday, February 18th with performances  February 19th through March 14th, 2010.  Performances are at Sixth Star Studios, 505 NW 1st Avenue – conveniently located one block west of Andrews Avenue at NW 5th Street in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale.
Performances are on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.  Reservations are strongly recommended, as the venue seats only 45.  Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students. March 7 to 21-LAKE WORTH PLAYHOUSE presents Agatha Christie’s "THE MOUSETRAP" - Famous murder mystery now in its 57th season- The play is Dame Agatha Christie’s classic tale about a newlywed couple, Giles and Mollie Ralston, who prepare to become new innkeepers of the recently inherited Monkswell Manor. On their first night of business and in the midst of a raging blizzard, one of their five guests is strangled to death. The assorted collection of peculiar lodgers is interrogated, one by one, revealing that each harbors a dark secret, keeping the audience guessing the true identity of the murderer.

March 24 to May 2, 2010- "Dr. Radio" at the FLORIDA STAGE- By Bill Castellino & Christopher McGovern-World Premiere- A completely original new musical about a dusty old radio repair shop on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. A little old man, the proprietor of this long-forgotten shop, faces foreclosure in a time that has passed him by.  As he prepares to close his doors for the final time, he tells a familiar story to his daughter, of neighbors and friends, of characters, of love and deceit, of courage and cowardice, as he reminds her with joy “you can't get to the future until you know the past.”
